Kootenai County Republican Central Committee, KCRCC, is the official Republican party for Kootenai County, Idaho.

Why Rating & Vetting?

A normally functioning Republican central committee operates as an unbiased facilitator to allow the grassroots Republican party members to democratically elect their candidates to put forward in the general election.

The KCRCC, however, is not a normally functioning Republican central committee.

The KCRCC puts its thumb on the scale for some Republicans over other Republicans, much like the 2016 DNC did to throw their primary to Hillary Clinton.

The KCRCC also issues endorsements in non-partisan races.

Non-partisan races traditionally are for positions in which competence, not partisanship, are important. Fire Districts, Water Districts, Schools, Libraries, and cities need people who actually know what they’re doing, not people who have a partisan agenda.

The KCRCC apparently believes it’s more important that your Water District board strictly follows party dictates than is competent in delivering you clean, safe water.

What is Rating & Vetting?

The KCRCC’s Rating & Vetting process is opaque. The R&V Committee members are not publicly known, their process is not open to the public, and the logic of their decision making is not open to the public.

Is Rating & Vetting working?

The KCRCC’s track record for getting it’s “highly rated & vetted” candidates elected is pretty good.

The results for citizens of Kootenai County, Idaho, have not been so good.
